How To Set Up Dymo Labelwriter 450

Eaglesoft - Dymo 450 Labelwriter Installation Instructions and Settings

Applies to: Eaglesoft, all versions; Patterson Hardware

Patterson's instructions for installing the Dymo 450 Labelwriter and proper settings to work in Eaglesoft.

Solution:

Click the + or the header to expand the section.

  
  1. Insert CD into CD-Rom drive. If there is no installation CD, download the commuter.
    1. 64-fleck Windows 7, eight.one, ten Operating Systems - http://download.dymo.com/dymo/Software/Download%20Drivers/LabelWriter/Downloads/1/LabelWriterDrivers-x64.msi
    2. 32-bit Windows 7, 8.1, 10 Operating Systems - http://download.dymo.com/dymo/Software/Download%20Drivers/LabelWriter/Downloads/1/LabelWriterDrivers-x86.msi
    3. Straight "click-to-download" has been disabled on these links by Dymo.  To download the driver, re-create the required commuter's URL into the address bar of a new browser tab, and printing Enter.
  2. At the Welcome Screen, click Next.  (Driver simply install will only accept images from steps 3 and 6)

  3. When the License Agreement screen appears, click I Agree.

  4. For Installation type, select Express Installation, then click the Next button.

  5. Uncheck to install Dymo File.  Click Adjacent.

  6. Uncheck the Show Readme and click the Finish push.  Installation is consummate.

Important Notation:  The Dymo printer settings need to be gear up first because Eaglesoft pulls the settings from the Dymo printer settings.

Printer Settings:

  1. Brand certain the Dymo Labelwriter software is installed (see instructions above for help on installation).
  2. Get to Command Panel | Devices and Printers.
  3. You will see your Dymo Labelwriter 450.

  4. Right mouse-click on the Dymo printer and click on Printer Backdrop.

  5. Click on the Advanced tab, then the Printing Defaults push button.

  6. Nether Orientation, select Landscape.
  7. Click on Advanced.

  8. Make sure the Paper Size has the right labels/appointment cards your office will be using.
    • Address/Chart Labels: 30252
    • Appointment Cards: 30374
    • Rx Labels (and virtually other vet items): 30258

  9. If this is a Twin Turbo printer, click the Paper/Quality tab, then next to Paper Source, click the drop-down menu to select the proper whorl for the paper you lot but setup; Left for the left roll, Right for the right roll. These are Left/Right when looking at the printer from the front end.

  10. Click OK to save and get back to the main carte du jour.
  11. On the main Properties screen, click on the General tab and the Preferences button. Go through the settings to ensure they friction match everything you just setup in Printer Default.
    1. In Control Panel | Devices and Printers, right-mouse click on the Dymo Labelwriter 450 Twin Turbo that was just installed and select Printer Properties.

    2. Click on the Ports tab and record the proper noun of the port the Dymo is installed to. Click OK to close Printer Properties.

    3. Again, from Control Console | Devices and Printers, click on Add a printer.

    4. For Windows viii.1 or 10, click The printer that I desire isn't listed and then Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings.

      For Windows seven, click Add a local printer.

    5. Make sure Apply an existing port chimera is ticked and and so, in the drib-down menu, select the port you recorded in Step ii . Click Next.

    6. Select Dymo under Manufacturer column, and Dymo LabelWriter 450 Twin Turbo under the Printers cavalcade. Click Next.

    7. Give the Dymo instance a proper proper name (e.g. Address, Appt_Card, Correct, Left, etc) and click Next.

    8. Share the printer if needed, click Adjacent.

    9. Click Finish.

    10. In Control Console | Devices and Printers, right-mouse click on the second Dymo Labelwriter 450 Twin Turbo instance that was just installed and select Printer Properties.

    11. Click on the Advanced tab, and then the Press Defaults button.

    12. Under Orientation, select Landscape.
    13. Click on Advanced.

    14. Make sure the Paper Size has the correct labels/date cards your office volition be using.
      • Address/Chart Labels: 30252
      • Date Cards: 30374
      • Rx Labels (and most other vet items): 30258

    15. If this is a Twin Turbo printer, click the Paper/Quality tab, and then next to Newspaper Source, click the drop-down menu to select the proper roll for the paper you simply setup; Left for the left curlicue, Right for the right roll. These are Left/Correct when looking at the printer from the front end.

    16. Click OK to relieve and go back to the main menu.
    17. On the main Properties screen, click on the General tab and the Preferences push. Go through the settings to ensure they match everything you just setup in Printer Default.
  12. Click OK to close out of Printer Properties.

Eaglesoft Settings:

  1. Click on File | Printer Administration.
  2. Set the advisable options to your Dymo LabelWriter printer (i.eastward. date cards, mailing characterization, chart characterization).

  4. Click on one of the options to highlight information technology.
  5. Click the Printer Setup button.

  6. In the Impress Setup window under Paper Size, make certain the right choice is listed (whether information technology be engagement cards or address label).
  7. Under Orientation, make sure Landscape is selected. (Note - this pulls from the Dymo printer settings).
  8. Click on Properties in the upper right.
  9. Nether Layout, brand certain Landscape is selected here every bit well.  (Note - this pulls from the Dymo printer settings).

  11. Verify the Newspaper Size has the correct labels/appointment cards your role is using.

  13. Test printing a chart label, mailing label or appointment carte.
